Development Economics
Assignment brief
You are a Multidisciplinary group of consultants (form your own company name) and a
client would like to hear your proposal on a piece of land in Singapore. It is a mix
development land. The client would like to hear what would be the construction cost, the
total development cost of the land, the pay back and what design assumptions your team
have put into the design. No drawings are needed but simply illustrations to show block
models (using ppt) is sufficient to produce sectional illustrations.
Reflection
This module has given me insight on the standard procedures of how a development project is approved and implemented. From feasibility to legal requirements to bank borrowings, a development project has to fulfill these several condition precedence before work can begin. Overall this module has been really informative. Kudos to my lecturer, Ms Dianne Kok, for making this module fun and interesting by giving loads of examples and getting us students involved in the discussions.
